about
Born in 2002, Noah has always had an interest in the creative world; always occupied with drawing and painting, imagining stories and creatures. While their childhood dream was to become an animator, at ‘preferably' Disney Studios, they soon realised their interest in textile crafts and creating tangible work within spaces. This realisation led them to switch internally from the Illustration & Animation BA to the Fine Arts BA at St. Joost School of Art & Design.
And later the Textile Design BA at The Royal Academy of Art, The Hague – where they are currently a graduate.

However, illustrations still feature as a huge part of their practice – as drawing has always been their first and foremost form of communicating. Much like writing a diary, they see it as a way of connecting back to themselves and their innermost feelings and thoughts — all the while visualising these ideas and concepts into more concrete images. This is often the starting point in their practice.

At the core, Noah’s work is influenced by (spiritual) practices and entities; studies of nature, the earth, and (family) history; non-conformity and fluidity; seasons, cycles and circles. Often manifesting itself into 3D sculpture and installation-like entities.

Questioning the notion of, and trying to challenge the current systems in place; as sweettooth, they strive to have their work act as resistance – as a - soft - rebellion.

They are currently collaborating closely with emma lobina; slowly manifesting as a crafters duo and collective~
